Severino (4-2) allowed one run on seven hits and one walk across 6.1 innings in Tuesday's win over the Orioles. He struck out eight.
EDGE Analysis
Severino was lights out for much of the night and gave up his only run as he worked out of a jam with the bases loaded in the sixth. He also displayed some of his best command of the season as he threw 73 percent of his pitches for strikes, induced 17 swinging strikes and reached eight strikeouts for the first time since May 7. Severino's latest in a string of strong outings has lowered his ERA to a sterling 2.93 and he will look to keep it rolling Sunday against the Blue Jays.
