Seth Smith homered twice, doubled and walked Friday in the Padres' 6-5 win over the Dodgers. Smith didn't miss a third homer by much, settling instead for the double. In the ninth, he was on deck when Everth Cabrera delivered a game-winning sac fly off Kenley Jansen, concluding a three-run rally. Smith entered the night with a .188 average, no homers and one RBI in 48 at-bats this month. Still, he's been an excellent player this season, especially at home. He's hitting .354 with 11 doubles, four triples and five homers at Petco, compared to .198 with five doubles, no triples and two homers on the road.
