Noda (jaw) will begin a rehab assignment this week with Triple-A Las Vegas, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Noda has been out of action since mid-July due to a fractured jaw, but he is nearly ready to resume playing in games. With Noda going straight to Triple-A, he will have a chance rejoin the big club before August comes to a close.
