Zimmer (neck) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Omaha on Wednesday.

Zimmer landed on the 10-day injured list Aug. 4 due to neck spasms, but he'll return to game action a week later. The right-hander isn't eligible to return until this weekend but shouldn't require many rehab appearances following his brief absence.
