Paddack (forearm) has started playing catch but will undergo another MRI on Aug. 27 before taking the next step, MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Paddack has been out since July 14 due to a right forearm strain. While he has started some activity, the fact he won't do much more before Aug. 27 makes it seem unlikely that he'd be able to begin a rehab assignment before September. It sounds like he may return in late September in a best-case scenario. The Twins may look to use him as a reliever in the playoffs like last year as a result.
