Sergio Santos will not be with the Blue Jays from Thursday until Saturday due to the birth of his child. It might serve as a nice break for both sides. Santos, who was acquired this offseason from the White Sox and expected to provide a steady presence in the ninth inning for Toronto, has blown two saves in two tries. He's currently sporting a 15.43 ERA. Francisco Cordero seems likely to close games in his absence.
