Sergio Santos (shoulder) played catch Tuesday for the first time since being placed on the disabled list last month. Santos flew to Florida on Sunday after receiving clearance from Dr. Lewis Yocum to resume throwing. Blue Jays manager John Farrell indicated that the 28-year-old right-hander is likely two weeks away from a possible minor league rehab assignment, so it's fair to expect him back by the end of the month. Francisco Cordero should continue to fill in, though he has blown each of his last three save chances.
