Bubic was optioned to Triple-A Omaha on Thursday, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.

Bubic lost his place in the rotation last week after posting an awful 13.14 ERA and 8:11 K:BB through his first five starts. He moved to the bullpen but made just one appearance there before losing his spot on the active roster entirely. Jon Heasley, who will start Thursday against the Rangers, was recalled to take his place on the roster.
