Fry was optioned to Triple-A Charlotte on Friday, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

Fry was promoted in late June and surrendered three runs over two frames in his two big-league appearances. He posted a 3.66 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 24:12 K:BB in 19.2 for the White Sox last year but hasn't seen much big-league action in 2021.
