Loperfido, right-handed pitcher Jake Bloss and infielder Will Wagner were traded to the Blue Jays in exchange for left-hander Yusei Kikuchi on Monday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Loperfido made his major-league debut with the Astros in April, producing a .236 average with two home runs, 16 RBI, 11 runs scored and two stolen bases over 106 at-bats in 38 games with Houston to this point. The 25-year-old has played both first base and in the outfield this season and he'll provide Toronto with a versatile asset moving forward.
