The Yankees optioned Cabrera to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Thursday.

Cabrera received plenty of chances at multiple positions to carve out an everyday role over the past several weeks, but his bat has yet to get going this season. The 24-year-old, who has slashed .195/.246/.292 over 168 plate appearances with the big club, will now head to Triple-A and try to get back on track.
