McKay was optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas on Monday.

McKay was recalled Friday and made a relief appearance Sunday against the Rangers. He allowed a run on four hits and no walks while striking out two in 2.2 innings but will head back to the minors after Sam Selman was called up Monday.
