Allen was optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas on Friday, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Allen joined the A's when rosters expanded Sept. 1, and logged one hit while making two pinch-hit appearances last week. He'll return to Las Vegas with Seth Brown (illness) being activated from the COVID-19 IL but figures to be a candidate to return should Oakland suffer an injury to a position player.
