Sean McAdam of CSNNE.com reports that the Red Sox could complete a one-year contract extension with David Ortiz over the weekend that's "in the neighborhood" of $15 million. That's what Ortiz will make this season, but he's gone on the record as wanting his deal extended for another season. Ortiz, who turned 38 over the winter, wants to finish his career with the Red Sox. The DH batted .309/.395/.564 with 30 homers and 103 RBI last season for the Red Sox before going on to win World Series MVP honors.
