Sean Doolittle allowed a solo home run but closed out the Blue Jays on Sunday for his 13th save of the season. After a long stretch of scorless outings that led to him becoming the A's closer, Doolittle has now allowed at least one run in three of his last five appearances. The solo home run by Steve Tolleson didn't affect the outcome, though, and he set down the rest of the batters he faced to earn the save. Even with a few hiccups, Doolittle has a 2.98 ERA, 0.69 WHIP and 61/2 K/BB ratio in 42 1/3 innings and should continue to pitch well into the second half.
