Seager, who was 1-for-3 in Friday's 8-2 Cactus League loss to the Rangers, is hitting just .200 over his first 10 spring at-bats.
EDGE Analysis
The Mariners are giving Seager the normal amount of time off for a veteran early in spring, as he's taken the field for four of the team's seven games thus far. Friday's single was only his second hit in 10 at-bats over that stretch, with a double and a walk serving as the other instances in which he's reached base. The slow start is hardly of concern, however, given the small sample size and Seager's 2016 body of work, which included career highs in extra-base hits (69), home runs (30), RBI (99), walks (69), batting average (.278), OBP (.359), slugging (.499) and OBP (.858).
