Scott Rolen (shoulder) still hopes to make it back later this season. Rolen felt some soreness the last time he took batting practice, so he shut it down for two days and then had to travel home to Indiana because of a death in the family. "I felt great," he said. "I was swinging great. I felt I was one day away. That's how close I was. But for whatever reason, I came out of batting practice not feeling too good. I took as many swings and as much of workload as I had for a long, long time. I was able to handled it." Even if he makes it back, we're not expecting much out of Rolen at the plate down the stretch.
