Scott Podsednik (groin) went 0-for-3 with a walk in his first rehab appearance at Triple-A Pawtucket. Podsednik served as the designated hitter and is expected to be play the field Sunday. The 36-year-old outfielder was hitting .387 (24-for-62) with one homer, seven RBI and six steals prior to hitting the disabled list earlier this month with a groin strain.
