Scott Podsednik (groin) could be activated from the disabled list Friday. Podsednik has got in 16 plate appearances over four rehab games with Triple-A Pawtucket and appears to be back to 100 percent. But, even though he's batted .387/.409/.484 in his time with the Sox this season, it's possible he could be demoted once Carl Crawford and Jacoby Ellsbury return, which should be soon.
