The New York Yankees are aiming to activate right-hander Scott Effross (shoulder) from the injured list on Wednesday. He threw 20 pitches in live batting practice on Sept. 16 in Milwaukee, and the session went well. Effross will now join Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre for a minor league rehab start.
