Schoop homered in three consecutive games earlier this month, but he's recorded just one hit in his last seven starts (28 at-bats), so manager Buck Showalter will give the 22-year-old a day to sit back and observe. Ryan Flaherty will man second base and bat eighth against right-hander Shane Greene.
