Santana is dealing with a tender left wrist and is not expected back until Wednesday, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

According to manager Paul Molitor, there are no plans for Santana to get a cortisone shot in his left wrist. Molitor also believes that the 25-year-old may have been hampered by this injury last season as well. In his 2015 campaign, Santana struggled at the plate (.215/.241/.291) and in the field (16 errors) after a solid rookie season in 2014.
