Sanchez was placed on the 10-day DL on Saturday with a middle finger laceration, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

The finger issues continue to haunt Sanchez -- this marks his third trip to the DL already this season. He touched 97 mph with his fastball and mixed in his curveball regularly Friday en route to a quality start, but Sanchez admitted after the game that he was still dealing with "a little" pain in his middle finger. He will be eligible to return as soon as May 30.
