Sanchez gave up three earned runs on six hits and three walks with five strikeouts over 7.1 innings Tuesday against the Angels. The 7.1 innings marked a career-best for Sanchez and all told this was clearly his best start of the season even though he didn't notch a win. Coming into Tuesday's start Sanchez comfortably led the majors with a 16.9 percent walk rate among pitchers with 30-plus innings under their belt. Despite Tuesday's solid outing, Sanchez still has more walks (32) than strikeouts (30) over 45.1 innings this season, and considering those are two statistics that stabilize relatively quickly, there is reason to tread lightly with Sanchez moving forward.
