Sanchez (finger) played catch Monday, marking his first throwing session since May 19, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

According to SB Nation's Mark Colley, the Blue Jays are "pleased" with how the right-hander's finger has progressed, although it's unclear when Sanchez will return to MLB action. Sanchez has been working out and staying in fine shape, so once the club is confident he's over the blister issues, it shouldn't take long for him to be activated. Considering how long he's been out, though, Sanchez will likely require a rehab start or two before rejoining the Jays. Either way, Monday's throwing session is a step in the right direction for the 24-year-old.
