Sanchez (finger) pitched an extended spring training game on Tuesday in Florida, and plans to start Sunday's game in Toronto against the Mariners, Laura Armstrong of the Toronto Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
Sanchez felt good after Tuesday's successful 60-pitch workout. The right-hander said the blister on his middle finger is fully healed and he feels free to throw any pitch, including the breaking ball that aggravated the problem last time out. "There were many times when I was out there not wanting to throw (curveballs) because I didn't know if it was going to be an issue, and now that I can go out there and not even think about doing it -- and do it over and over again without any problems -- I think that's what I'm most happy with." Sanchez owners shouldn't hesitate to get him back in the lineup. He's 2-0 with a 1.72 ERA in five career games (two starts) versus Seattle.
