Sanchez allowed an unearned run in the bottom of the ninth inning against the Yankees on Thursday to suffer the loss. Sanchez entered the game with the score tied at 2-2, and gave up a leadoff single to Chris Young. After a steal and sacrifice, Young scored the game-winning run on Adam Lind's error. Sanchez seemed to have displaced Casey Janssen as the Toronto's closer earlier in the month, but the hard-throwing righty hasn't seen any chances, while Janssen has recorded the team's last two saves. Sanchez is still being used in high-leverage situations, but he obviously cannot be counted on for saves.
