Sanchez (1-2) managed to work around a whopping seven walks to allow just two runs over 5.1 innings Wednesday in a win over Baltimore. He struck out four and allowed just two hits.
One of the two hits was a two-run homer by Jimmy Paredes, which ended up being all the damage against Sanchez. Nonetheless, after throwing just 43 of his 83 pitches for strikes, Sanchez can't be feeling like his first win of the year was much of a step forward. He now owns a hideous 9:12 K:BB to go with his 5.14 ERA and 1.86 WHIP; in short, it simply doesn't look like the young righty is ready to be a starting pitcher in the big leagues.
