Ryu (strained glue muscle) felt no pain while throwing a two-inning simulated game Wednesday, and looks poised to rejoin the Dodgers' rotation on Sunday or Monday, MLB.com's Ken Gurnick reports. He is eligible to return from the DL on Friday, but Dan Haren and Zack Greinke are already confirmed as the starters on Friday and Saturday, respectively. Ryu threw free and easy Wednesday, and also practiced covering first base without incident. He has been dynamite against the Padres this season, giving up one run in 19 innings, so fantasy owners would probably prefer him to start Sunday, but the Dodgers would not be forced to make a roster if they started Ryu Monday against the Nationals, as rosters expand Monday.
