Ryu (shoulder) has begun a throwing program, Dylan Hernadez of LA Times reports.

Ryu had surgery on his shoulder all the way back in May. He should be on track to participate in spring training, but will have to compete with a handful of players to earn a spot in the rotation if he returns healthy.
