Ryu only lasted four innings Sunday, giving up four runs on six hits while striking out five in a 9-7 win over Cincinnati.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran southpaw has now turned in two four-run outings after looking sharp in his previous two starts. Despite appearing to be healthy, Ryu has been far more homer-prone (1.9 HR/9) this go around compared to his first two successful seasons in the majors. It would be best to only deploy the 30-year-old in deep formats or as a streamer in favorable matchups. That said, his next start comes against these same Reds in Cincinnati on Saturday.
