Ryan was in line to start Wednesday had he made it to Oakland a few hours prior to game time, but he did not arrive soon enough, so Alex Wilson will start the game instead. Ryan is still expected to be called up Wednesday, and there's a good chance he sees action in relief of Wilson, who has worked as a reliever this season and will likely be limited to a few innings tops.
