Ryan remains in contention for the final spot on the Nationals' bench, thanks in part to a .379/.400/.517 performance at the plate this spring in 29 at-bats.
EDGE Analysis
He doesn't actually have that kind of upside at the plate, but Ryan's slick glovework could allow him to sneak onto the end of the Nats' 25-man roster. With Danny Espinosa and Stephen Drew also on the roster, however, Ryan's playing time as a utility infielder would be limited, and he'd be the most likely roster casualty once the team decides to call up Trea Turner.
