Ryan (calf), who is now on a rehab assignment at Triple-A, will be called up when he plays back-to-back games, MLB.com's Bryan Hoch reports. With Didi Gregorius slashing .215/.276/.289, the Yankees could certainly use some new blood in the mix at shortstop. Ryan is a defense-first option, but Gregorius is average defensively so Ryan could still represent an overall upgrade. Ryan is in the lineup for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday, so keep tabs on his usage in the coming days to see if a call-up is on tap.
