Ryan (calf) began a rehab assignment at High-A Tampa on Sunday, Sweeny Murti of Sportsradio 66 WFAN reports. Ryan has been on the disabled list since the start of the season after suffering a Grade 2 right calf strain. It appears he's just about fully recovered from the injury now, and once he gets in some more action, his activation could soon follow. Ryan would likely fill a utility infield role for the Yankees upon his return.
