Ryan (back) could be back within the week according to manager Joe Girardi, the NY Post reports. Ryan has been able to take swings and field ground balls, but he's still already missed two weeks for what was believed to be a minor issue. Even if he does return to game action within the week, it's possible the missed time will reduce Ryan to a utility infielder rather than a middle infield platoon option.
