Ryan (back) began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Thursday, the NY Post reports. Ryan went 1-for-3 in his first rehab game, and is expected to shift to Double-A Trenton over the weekend. With the All-Star break approaching, a return after the break seems like the likely timetable for the infielder.
