Royals signed OF Greg Golson to a minor league contract. Released by the Yankees last week, Golson latches on with an organization where he might have a shot to crack the opening day roster. The 26-year-old outfielder is a burner, but will have to prove he can contribute with more than his speed. A former first-round pick of the Phillies in 2004, Golson has plenty of tools, but he fans almost as often as he gets on base.
