Royals released RHP Kyle Davies. Davies was one of GM Dayton Moore's first additions back in June of 2007, but the 27-year-old right-hander went 29-44 with an ugly 5.34 ERA over 99 starts with Kansas City. The Royals will be responsible for the remainder of his $3.2 million salary for this season.
