Royals recalled C Manny Pina from Triple-A Omaha. Pina appeared in a handful of games with the Royals in early August, but has spent the majority of the season at the Triple-A level, batting .238/.364/.371 with five homers, 25 RBI and a .735 OPS over 259 plate appearances. He'll serve as a third catcher down the stretch.
