Royals placed LHP Jonathan Sanchez on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to May 8, with left biceps tendinitis. As expected. Sanchez was torched for six runs over three innings in his most recent start and owns a rough 6.75 ERA and 18/22 K/BB ratio across his first six outings. Luis Mendoza will likely take his place in the starting rotation in the short-term.
