Roy Oswalt's agent, Bob Garber, told Tim Dierkes of MLBTradeRumors.com that his client has been working out on the Mississippi State campus and is "waiting for the right offer from a contender." Garber says that geography will not be a factor in Oswalt's decision as it was a year ago, and that Oswalt's only focus now is to pitch for a club in contention. Garber also said the veteran right-hander would be willing to pitch in late-inning relief in some cases, though he prefers to start. Oswalt, 35, posted a 5.80 ERA in 17 appearances last season with the Rangers but had a nice 59/11 K/BB ratio over 59 frames.
