Roy Oswalt was roughed up in relief Wednesday, allowing four runs in 1 1/3 innings versus Boston. Will Middlebrooks hit a three-run homer off him. It was Oswalt's first poor outing in three appearances since he was shifted to the pen. All of the damage came in the seventh inning after he was originally brought in to get the final out of the fifth. Of course, Oswalt faced criticism Sunday and Monday after declining to go back out for a third inning of work over the weekend.
