Diaz has struggled through his first 13 pro games for the Dodgers' Dominican Summer League affiliate, batting just .190/.277/.262 with no homers and four steals.
EDGE Analysis
Most concerningly for the highly rated international signee, he's struck out 17 times in 47 plate appearances -- a horrible 36.2 percent clip. Of course, it'd be incredibly premature to downgrade Diaz based on this tiny sample, considering that he's just 17 years old and the Dodgers' scouts obviously saw something in him that warranted a multi-million-dollar contract this past offseason. He's all projection right now, but that may just make him easier to snap up in dynasty formats.
