Ross will have his next turn in the rotation skipped while he recovers from a blister on his right middle finger, Dan Kolko of MASN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ross had been scheduled to take the mound in Tuesday's series opener against the Phillies, but the team will instead take a conservative approach and allow the blister more time to heal. Since the Nationals have a team day off Monday, they will simply skip Ross's turn and allow ace Max Scherzer to start on regular rest. Look for Ross to return to the rotation during the weekend series in St. Louis, provided the blister recovers as planned.
