Ross was removed from Wednesday's game against the Marlins with a blister on his right middle finger, Chelsea Janes of the Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ross tossed two scoreless innings in Wednesday's game before being taken out and replaced by Yusmeiro Petit. He was allowed to bat in the top of the third inning -- and scored on a Bryce Harper double -- so there is reason to believe the Nationals are just being cautions with their young starter. It remains to be seen if Ross will be ready for his next scheduled start Tuesday, but he will have an extra day of rest due to a team off day Monday.
