Ross (shoulder) took part in pre-game drills Friday and will likely throw a bullpen session this weekend, The Washington Post reports. "I'm feeling better," Ross said. "Feels like everyday, I'm feeling a little stronger. I don't know exactly what the plan is yet - still have a couple days before I can come back."

The Nats don't need a fifth starter until next weekend's home series against the Padres, which should give Ross enough time to throw a couple of bullpens prior to coming off the DL. If he has any kind of setback though, or the team decides he needs a minor league rehab assignment, Lucas Giolito would likely be called back up instead for another spot start or two.

With Roark throwing well and Giolito in the wings, the Nats appear to be in great shape to me if the Mets keep having injuries and anemic hitting.
