Ross (influenza) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Pawtucket on Wednesday, Jason Mastrodonato of the Boston Herald reports.

EDGE Analysis

Ross recently came down with a bad case of the flu and was subsequently placed on the 10-day disabled list. He's eligible to come off of the DL on April 13 and will look to throw a few innings with Triple-A Pawtucket before returning to the Red Sox's big-league bullpen.
