Rodriguez has been informed he will not make the Astros' Opening Day roster, Jose de Jesus Ortiz of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Rodriguez has not been released by the Astros yet, but he will likely exercise an opt-out clause in his contract. Rodriguez had a 4.90 ERA in 86.1 innings for the Rangers and last posted an ERA below 4.00 in 2013. We'll see if there are any teams out there that still believe he has any magic left, but there's usually some team out there that could use another veteran arm.
