Rodriguez entered in the top of the 13th with the game tied 11-11. He promptly allowed a leadoff double to Mark Trumbo and then a home run to Chris Davis. Rodriguez really can't be trusted at this point, but the Tigers had little choice after burning through five relievers in the first 12 innings. At this point, the veteran reliever does not look close to regaining the closer role.
